Project Overview
Fin is a digital financial service designed to help users manage, save, transfer, and access funds with greater control and security. The product combines scheduled savings, interest-earning savings, low-fee bank-to-bank transfers, secure fund management, and loan access into one seamless experience. The core user, Elliot, is a data analysis student facing high training costs and needs a reliable way to set aside money specifically for essential expenses such as food and transportation. Fin addresses this need by allowing Elliot to schedule recurring savings and planned withdrawals, earn interest on saved funds, transfer money at a lower cost, and maintain better financial security while working toward his goals. By turning saving into a structured and predictable habit, Fin gives users greater visibility and control over their everyday finances while helping them build financial resilience over time.
The Problem
Elliot is investing heavily in a data analysis boot camp, making it increasingly important for him to manage his finances and control unnecessary spending. At the same time, he needs to consistently set aside money for essential daily expenses such as food and transportation. Without a structured way to separate his savings from his everyday spending, Elliot struggles to maintain a consistent savings habit while still having reliable access to the money he needs each day.
The Solution
Fin App was designed as a mobile app that helps users build structured savings habits while maintaining convenient access to funds for everyday needs. The platform allows users to schedule savings, plan withdrawals, and receive a controlled daily allowance for essential expenses such as food and transportation. By separating long-term savings from daily spending, Fin helps users stay disciplined, maintain better financial control, and make their money work toward specific goals.

MOCKUP
The initial design presented card details as static information, limiting users’ ability to interact with and manage their card. To create a more intuitive experience, the redesigned interface introduces interactive card controls that make important card details easier to access, understand, and manage. This improvement gives users greater control while creating a smoother and more engaging financial experience.
