Project Overview

The product: 

A. Financial service. It’s mainly a savings account, bank-to-bank transfer, receiving funds and more. 

B. Product values are: 1. Schedule savings account, 2. Earn interest for saving, 3. Transfer to another financial account with a lower fee, 4. Financial security, 5. Loan acquisition. Elliot needs to save money for food and transportation because his data analysis training is expensive. 

C. Savings: Scheduling savings and withdrawals, and earning interest will help Elliot a lot


Project duration:

3 months.

The problem: 

Elliot spends a lot on a data analysis boot camp, and he needs to manage his spending. So Elliot is trying to save money daily for food and transportation. 

 

The goal: 

Design an app and a responsive website that helps users save and receive a daily withdrawal for their basic daily needs.

Brainstorm, define, design, test and launch a financial app that helps to reduce spending and release money daily for food and transportation.   

 

User research: summary

Figuring out if daily savings plans on the Fin App help people to reduce overspending and also help with daily needs. 

1 user of assistive technologies (keyboard, screen reader)

Participants are people who will save money at least once a month and get money released to them daily, weekly, monthly or on a customised date. 

Participants can save for any purpose.

5 participants, male, female and others aged 18 - 60 years old

Incentive of 1,000 coupons redeemable after savings

Drafted out the iteration process of the FinApp based on user needs and pain points. Ensuring the paper wireframe addresses the user's pain point and that the user has a happy ending.
